Literature Text
The sunlight of a thousand floating dandelions
Dances through the sky
As I lay in the grass,
Green as summer leaves.
I wonder how my life would be,
How the colors would have changed,
How the tides would flow
If I had been born
Another time,
Another place.
Where would I be?
Who would I be?
When would I know,
Understand
Myself?
All the confusing things,
The little things,
The things as grand as mountains,
Everything a mystery to me,
What does it mean?
All my life,
Ive been someone of a mystery
To myself.
Who am I?
What am I?
Why am I here?
I could have gone anywhere,
Been anyone,
But yet I am here.
It's been quite a while
Since Ive seen
Someone I know
Look back at me in the mirror.
The scent of lavender and dreams
Float all around me
As I wonder all these things.
The world is bright and soft,
The sky is a river,
Cool and serene.
I lay my head on the ground,
And look up to watch
The world pass by.
And dream simple wonders
In my head.
Dances through the sky
As I lay in the grass,
Green as summer leaves.
I wonder how my life would be,
How the colors would have changed,
How the tides would flow
If I had been born
Another time,
Another place.

Incredible. I don't know how to respond to the deep feelings this poem summon in me. Your poetic voice becomes so much clearer and more mysterious each poem I read.
