“We still have to name ‘er.” Euri said a corter later. Five set had passed since the fight, and the dwarves were still finding decaying bodies and blood still ran through the streams. The stench of death had wafted over the mountainside for a long while, and it was only just starting to die down in pungency in the wind that came through.

“I ‘ad been thinking on that a bit, actually,” Reina was baking, and she set the stove to do it’s work as she came and sat across from her husband and next to the quickly growing Shadow. The baby smiled delightfully at her as she sat down, and Reina returned it. “But first, ‘ave ye any ideas?”

Euri nodded. “I was thinking maybe we should name ‘er after ye.” Reina blushed and pushed her gray hair out of her face.

“No, no, she’s no Reina. She’s too feisty for that. She’s a fiery little ‘un, who ‘as been through many changes,” she said, “I am not so.” The child looked around with her curious dark eyes and focused on a candle that flickered at the center of the table.

“Well then, what were yer thoughts?” He thoughtfully rested his gray, hairy chin on a fist and gazed at his wife.

“Well...I was thinking Ezra. Ezra Shayde.”
